Early Intervention

Who:
Children up to age 3 who have or are at high risk for a developmental delay, disability or health condition

What:
Comprehensive developmental assessment and individualized services to eligible infants, toddlers and their families

Are you concerned about your infant or toddler’s development? Has your pediatrician recommended an evaluation for your child? Our Early Intervention program is designed to support families with young children suspected of or identified as having a developmental disability, delay, health condition or a cluster of risk factors that may impact a child’s development.

We go to great lengths to understand your child’s complex and unique developmental needs. Our assessment team will administer an assessment tool and play with your child, observe him or her, and speak with family members who know them best to help us determine eligibility and the next step for your child and family.

If your family is eligible for services, you will be assigned a service coordinator/provider who will work with you and our early intervention team to develop and carry out an individualized service plan that addresses your child’s developmental needs and your family’s priorities.

Our services are delivered within natural environments (such as your home, child care site or local playground) to create opportunities for you and your child to actively participate within your community while allowing our staff to monitor your child’s developmental progress and provide  suggestions and strategies.

The speech and language pathologists, physical and occupational therapists, special needs educators, social workers, psychologists, nurses and specialty service providers that make up our early intervention team are committed to providing your child with the foundation they need in their earliest years.
