Cape Cod Child Development Program is pleased to announce that, thanks to the Cape & Islands United Way, we have been able to provide more resources to help create healthy attachments and positive relationships for the children and families we serve. A 2016 grant from the United Way has allowed for comprehensive training in PATHS for staff and teachers, a new inventory of updated PATHS kits, and follow-up coaching for our Universal Pre K and Head Start programs.
We apply this comprehensive program for promoting emotional and social development in our Head Start/Universal Pre-K classrooms, which effectively reduces aggression and behavior problems and builds emotional health and interpersonal skills. These protocols and programs work towards our goal of ensuring Cape Cod’s children are ready to learn when they enter school.
Well-trained staff will provide the best educational environment for children and CCCDP appreciates the support from the Cape & Islands United Way to promote the healthy development of the children we serve.
