Cape Cod Child Development is proud to announce the appointments of two senior employees— Mary Pat Messmer, Executive Director, has been appointed to the Advisory Board of the Department of Children and Families and Mal Hughes, Preschool/Head Start Director has been appointed Chair of the Massachusetts Head Start Association (MHSA).
“The mission of the Department of Children and Families, ‘to strengthen families and protect children” mirrors the mission of Cape Cod Child Development,” said Ms. Messmer. “I am really pleased to be able to work with DCF to help provide support for families in the community.”
MHSA Inc. is a private, not-for-profit membership organization comprised of the 32 Head Start agencies in the Commonwealth that provide Head Start and Early Head Start services to more than 14,000 families annually. MHSA is committed to providing a dynamic, collaborative process through which Head Start programs advocate for excellence; form partnerships with the community at large; share information; and support one another thus providing leadership and opportunities to impact services to families.
